The TSC is the central controlling element in the 9500Remote Fiber Test System. It diagnoses network problems by analyzing data collected from Remote Test Units deployed in out side plants.

Data sent from the RTU is mapped to a central database engine in the TSC. Precise fault location details are available for the maintenance team using cable routing records and precise geographical landmarks.

The TSC can also be integrated into an overall Network Management System. TSC relays alarm information to a service coordinator. An advanced Client/Server architecture also enables secure and flexible multi-user capabilities.

 

Comprehensive fiber records

Integrating a graphical fiber management tool, the TSC simplifies fiber documentation to improve maintenance operations.

The database can hold information on cable routings and fiber components (splices, splitters etc.) as well as geographical landmark information for precise fault location. Any network repair or upgrade can be immediately added and documented in the database.

 

GPS landmarking

The Geographical landmark information can be completed with GPS coordinates. Any network anomaly can be mapped directly to a digitized map display on the TSC and be easily interpreted by an operator.

 

Performance monitoring

Predictive maintenance cycles enable the user to monitor the performance of the optical network over time. Fibers can be analyzed in greater details for signs of degradation and component aging. Reports, graphs, and charts can be complied for service level agreement and supporting data.
